All students are learning about the 3 types of subject matter in art:

LANDSCAPE - STILL LIFE - & - PORTRAITS.  

All grade levels will be creating artwork in each of these categories and be able to identify which category various pieces of famous artwork belong. 

Some of the vocabulary they are learning as we learn about these art subjects are:  FOCAL POINT, PERSPECTIVE, FOREGROUND, MIDDLE GROUND, BACKGROUND, DEPTH, BALANCE, & UNITY.

We have been reviewing colors and students should be able to identify primary, secondary, warm, & cool colors and know how to make the secondary colors. I SO ENJOY WITNESSING THE CREATIVITY IN OUR STUDENTS AT H.E.S.!!!!!
